The rundown

The SSA chassis with both stages lightened: 2.3 lb of first stage take-up, a 1.2 lb second stage, 3.5 lb total. Same two-stage design, same drop-in non-adjustable install, same combat-proven parts underneath.

Geissele built it for precision and squad designated marksman rifles, where a light predictable break is worth more than a heavy one. Lighter is not automatically better. A 3.5 lb trigger asks more of your trigger discipline than a 4.5 lb trigger does.
